How To Add/Embed MP3 Music Files In Web Pages Using Google Drive

Now instead of using media hosting platforms like Hulkshare or SoundCloud as we illustrated in the past, this time around we will be showing you how to embed an MP3 music files in your webpages for easy playback or download as the case maybe using Google Drive.

Most of you are familiar with Google Drive and some of you might even be storing your MP3 audio files in Google Drive, but whichever be the case, today we are going to be highlighting the step that you can use to embed those music files in your webpage using this very familiar Google Drive tool.


But before we move further, it is important to note here that the method that we will be outlining here is suitable for web platforms that support the iFrame tags and good to know that most of the websites platform out there supports the iFrame tag, so no cause for alarm at this point.


Without further ado, to embed or start embedding MP3 audio files in your webpages using Google Drive follow the steps below;

•  Upload the MP3 music file that you want to embed in your webpage to Google Drive

•  Right-click on the uploaded audio file and select share and from there set the link sharing permission option to anyone on the internet can find and view

•  While there, you will see the copy link and file drive URL with structure like this; https://drive.google.com/file/d/789abd/view?usp=sharing

•  Copy the URL and edit as follows; change the /view in the URL to /preview

•  Embed the edited URL into the iFrame tag as shown below

                    width=”500”
                    height = “250”
                    src=” https://drive.google.com/file/d/789abd/preview?usp=sharing
             </iframe>

•  Copy the entire iframe tag codes above and place it in the HTML section of your webpage where you want the playback and downloadable image for the audio file to appear and publish.
Hurray, you have just succeeded in embedding MP3 audio files in your webpage with Google Drive.
