Best Tablets In 2018

Another month has passed, and we did not really see any compelling tablets or Chromebooks out there, at least not any that have been made available. The Acer Chromebook Spin 11 was announced back in January, along with a number of education-focused Chromebooks. The Acer Chromebook Spin 11 is still not available for purchase, and no new tablets arrived either, at least not compelling ones. That being said, our list is quite similar to the list from January, and it may be able to help you out if you're looking to get a new tablet or 2-in-1 devices.

10. Google Pixel C

The Google Pixel C is not exactly a new device, this tablet was announced way back in October 2015, but it's still kind of relevant in the tablet space. This tablet is made out of metal, and you can even use it as an Android-powered laptop if you grab a keyboard dock which Google released along with this tablet. The Google Pixel C is fueled by the NVIDIA Tegra X1 64-bit quad-core SoC, while the device sports a 10.2-inch 2560 x 1800 display. A 9,240mAh non-removable battery is a part of this package, while the device comes with 3GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of native storage. The Pixel C comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but it is upgradable to Android Oreo. The Google Pixel C can be purchased for around $500 at the moment.

9. Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet

The Xperia Z4 Tablet, much like the Google Pixel C, is not exactly a new product, not at all. This tablet was announced before the Pixel C, actually, as it was introduced back in March 2015. The Xperia Z4 Tablet is still amongst the best tablets out there, however, it is made out of metal and glass, and it comes with IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. So not only does it look premium, but it is water and dust resistant as well. This tablet sports a 10.1-inch 2560 x 1600 display, while it includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. The Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core SoC fuels this tablet, while the device ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop, but it is upgradable to Android Nougat. An LTE model of the Xperia Z4 Tablet costs less than $600, while the Wi-Fi variant is no longer available on Amazon.

The ASUS Chromebook Flip C302 is one of ASUS' 2-in-1 devices, which essentially means that you can use it both as a laptop and as a tablet. In any case, this gadget is made out of metal, and it comes with a 12.5-inch fullHD display, while the company also included 4GB of RAM on the inside. There are two SoC variants of this device, a more affordable model comes with Intel's Core m3 SoC, while the more expensive variant sports Intel's Core m5 processor.
